Wellspring for Girls

Wellspring for Girls exists to address the recovery needs of girls (ages 12 – 17) who are survivors of the child sex trade industry of Atlanta. Our desire is to work in collaboration with other child service organizations to offer hope, healing and a bright future to these girls.

By utilizing our experience in working with adult victims of childhood sexual abuse, we offer an educational and therapeutic day program to forced prostitution survivors designed to meet their specific physical, psychological and spiritual needs.

Partnerships are imperative to our ability to work effectively with survivors of forced prostitution. We partner with a fully licensed children’s home to provide the room, board and watchful oversight for the girls in the program. The Campus is a fully licensed non-traditional education option that aids us in offering the best academic solutions to our participants. Psychological Studies Institute works with us to maintain the highest degree of standards in our group and individual therapy. We also work with Unite, a large network of churches in Atlanta who participate by volunteering with the program.

Preserving the dignity of survivors, counseling, group therapy, education, life skills training, vocational training, career guidance, spiritual and care are important elements of the Wellspring for Girls Program.

We use Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to meet their specific psychological needs. This type of therapy consists of several core treatment components designed to be provided in a flexible and developmentally appropriate manner to address the unique needs of each child and family.
