Bags of Blessings
Groceries are a large expense in any residential ministry. Through Bags of Blessings, you and people in your sphere of influence can be a blessing to the women in the Wellspring Home directly through helping to provide food and other basic necessities that they use during their time of recovery.
The idea is to take each of the Blessings Shopping Lists, distribute them among your group. Each member would gather the items, attach a card of encouragement to the grocery bag and bring the items to the designated drop off place.

Lawn Care Team
We can always use help in keeping the Wellspring Living Home and the property surrounding the home looking appealing and attractive. The way that the home looks determines the way the girls feel when they come to us. Anyone with "handy man" skills or the ability to do yard work is always such a blessing.
Usually, individuals serve on the lawn care team on a rotating basis. We can fit you into the schedule in whatever manner your schedule will allow.

Welcome Baskets
It is so important that girls feel comfortable and at home during their first few days in the Wellspring Program. They have come from unsafe places of turmoil and despair. It is our desire that they come to the Wellspring Home and sense the peace, acceptance and rest from their first moments.
One way that we try to accomplish this is by making Welcome Basket for each participant in the Wellspring Program. In some cases this Welcome Basket is all that a girl can call her own in the world.
The Welcome Baskets are filled with things to make their time in the Wellspring Program more comfortable and tools for them to be able to learn and apply themselves to the Wellspring Program and to seeking God. They are supplied with a Bible and the first couple books they will need to use during the first few weeks.
What groups of volunteers can do to help is to take the list of items needed in the Welcome Baskets, divide them among the group, collect the items, assemble the baskets and bring them to the designated drop off place where a Wellspring representative will pick them up, add the curriculum and make sure that each new participant in the program gets one.
Items Needed for Welcome Baskets:
1. Personal Sized Laundry Basket
2. Hypoallergenic Pillow
3. Journal
4. 2" Three Ring Binder
5. Loose Leaf Paper
6. Pens (blue, back, red)
7. Highlighters
8. White Towel and wash cloth
9. Bath Products such as shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant and lotion
10. Lined Index Cards
11. Stationery and Stamps
12. Calling Card
The participant may also appreciate items to help them personalize their rooms such a 4x6 picture frame or a scripture plaque to set on their dresser. These items are certainly optional.
When the Welcome Baskets are complete, they are placed on a girls bed to meet her when she arrives at the Wellspring Home.

Target Gift Registry
The Target Gift Registry is one way that Wellspring can constantly communicate updated needs for the Wellspring Home. It is a way to look and see what the present needs are at the home at any specific time. Anything from new towels to baking sheets might find its way onto the registry.
This is probably the easiest and most specific way to meet the needs of the women at Wellspring. You don't even have to leave your home.
