Join the Dangerous Journey

·  Thouroughly check out our webiste:  www.wellspringliving.org org.  Call and request information or attend a Wellspring Living Event found on our "Events" page. 

·   Read Mary Frances Bowley's book A League of Dangerous Women.  You may purchase this book at the online store of this website, local bookstores or www.amazon.com. 

·   Check out the new book by David Batstone Not For Sale.

·   Go online and search for information about issues of social injustice.  One good places to start is www.atlantaga.gov.  On that site, there is a report called “Hidden in Plain View” down on the right side of the home page.  Check it out. 

·  Do a “human trafficking” search on www.salvationarmyusa.org.  It will bring up some great education information. 

·  Organize a “Coffee and Concern” Gathering.  Get a group of friends together and share about some of the problems of injustice you discover and how you as a group can be a part of the solution. 

·   You can write letters and emails to newspapers (AJC or local news), magazines (like Creative Loafing), TV stations (News stations, morning shows) and other media organizations to spread the word about the tragedy of social injustice. 

·  Volunteer in Organizations such as Wellspring Living or other organizations included in your program. Check out wellspringliving.org and www.handsonatlanta.org to get started. 

·  Churches/organizations are encouraged to join Rescue and Restore Coalition Against Human Trafficking by contacting acf.hhs.gov/trafficking/coalition

·  Learn about Atlanta Mayor, Shirley Franklin's, stand against childhood sexual abuse and write letters of approval. 

·   Write your congress person to express the importance of this issue, and let them know you want to see legislation that addresses these issues of social injustice. 

·  Donate generously and raise funds for organizations already addressing these issues.
