Wellspring for Girls
Wellspring Living seeks to address the problem of child prostitution in the Atlanta area.  Since, 2005, both the FBI and the United Way have ranked Atlanta as the number one center for child prostitution in the US.  There are not many services for child victims of commercial sexual exploitation.  Rather, minors that are taken into custody for prostitution typically end up in juvenile detention.  The metro Atlanta area is desperately in need of services that meet the unique needs of these children. 

Wellspring Living is in a distinct and unique position to minister to these girls.  We have extensive experience dealing with childhood sexual trauma, and our desire is to implement a juvenile version of this program with female victims of commercial sexual exploitation.  Our target population is girls, ages 12 - 17. 

The goal of this program is to restore exploited girls to wholeness and enable them to rebuild their lives.  Our implementation strategy is a collaborative, therapeutic day program, 12 - 24 months in length.  By boldly partnering with other juvenile care organizations, businesses, civic groups, churches and volunteers, a caring community can rally behind these girls to restore them to wholeness.  The program will be holistic in nature, incorporating elements to heal the body, soul and spirit. 

Like the program used at the Wellspring Home, this program will be intensely therapeutic and based on Biblical principles of wholeness and healing.  It targets specific areas of woundedness and enables girls to experience wellness in the body, thriving in the mind, will and emotions, and becoming dependant on God.
